I grew up and still live in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
Living around wild flowers and enjoying the bounty of fragrant flowers each season brought me to creating
designs that were made from mixed mediums. Each time I sit down and draw a lady figure, then place dried
flower petals in areas that make the figure begin to have a form is when I know I have made something special. I
began pressing flowers with each new season, when I was young. My bountiful selection of flowers now are from
people who have given them to me as gifts, others are flowers I have picked along side a country road. When I
collect flowers I can almost imagine what dress the lady I have already created in my mind, along with that flower
will look nice on. I first started my artistic endeavors when I was in my 20's. Painting beautiful pictures for my
"Four Season's "Cookbook. Then I went on to painting and sketching pictures for my poetry books, from there I
stopped for a few years and then had an unbelievable idea to place dried flowers that I had been collecting over
the years onto figures that I had drawn and painted. This was a transformation in itself. Drawn to the beautiful
and ever changing butterflies in my gardens, so too are my creations each season, as they have many stages.
The first stage to any creation is the idea,
next is developing and completing, then finally was using my new
found wings to fly, was sharing the idea. People call or e-mail me saying they so enjoy my art pieces I have
displayed in my home and could I make the same one/s for them?

Pressing flowers is the easy part, placing them onto a painted art piece and then having them take on an almost
real life appearance is what many have said are so unique in what I create in my art work. Displaying my art
pieces in a gallery to winning many awards and ribbons, brought me to the next phase of placing my art designs
online for others to see, be able to purchase and have in their home or as a gift for someone special.
These art pieces are one of a kind, no two are the same, close; but not a copy by any means. Once you select
an art piece and display it in your home, you will find you want a gallery of ladies to admire.

Please feel free to click on the link Garden Retreats. There you will find me at my best, in my gardens. I have
several different garden areas that I tend to. Maybe someday I will find myself owning and operating a Nursery,
where I can use my imagination to the fullest. Until then I will go on enjoying taking a petal from a flower and
preserving the beauty onto an art creation for a lasting time.
